Currently we are brainstorming around three game ideas. Those are as follow:

1.  Game : "The Lost Strokes"

Game Idea : As players walk through the museum, they embark on an interactive AR puzzle-adventure where paintings appear with missing pieces, waiting to be restored. Using hints drawn from cultural stories and historical contexts, players must uncover the original masterpieces, connecting past and present interpretations of art. Each restored painting contributes to a larger narrative, illustrating how artistic freedom has shaped societies and redefined values across generations. By blending technology with history, the game transforms museum exploration into an immersive journey that deepens appreciation for cultural heritage and the evolving meaning of freedom.

Ideation Wheel : It associates with freedom  of the player to go through the puzzle/adventure provided and finds the cultural stories to redefine the values or generations.

2. Game : "Unravelling heritage"

Game idea: The basic idea is to not create a game based on concurrence but one that helps the player to explore, experience and discover culture. The main functionality that we want to implement is the discovery of main elements in paintings or equal environments. The players should be required to reveal blurred/blacked parts of their environment. The aim of this principle is to enhance the interaction of the player with the environment. By actively focusing of the blurred/blacked elements of the picture, the player would have to directly interact with the space on the environment. This would help the presenters to highlight important information and parts of the environment. Additionally, by interacting, more information could be told by the game. Little pop-up windows or images could appear in the vision of the player. This information could tell several details that are relevant in environment but can not be told by it.

Ideation wheel:

·        Equality:

·        Puzzle/Adventure:

·        Cultural Gameplay or Cultural Stories:

·        Remixing Heritage/History:

Reflection:  The game uses a cultural object as main action area. Most of the action in this game should happen on the environment of the cultural object. Further it contains all the properties that will be unravelled by this game.

3. Game :  "Portrait Number 13"

Game Idea: In a museum, every night, the portraits come to life. There are 12 in total. One night, a person from one of the paintings gets killed. Only sounds are heard in the darkness, the killer and the crime scene can not be seen. During the day, player must examine the clues and try to solve the mystery. The next night another crime is committed. Player has more clues to analyze (for example: tiny red marks, a letter, a weapon hidden, new information about the people from the paintings...).  This time he should  put all the hints together and figure out who the killer is. If he is right, he wins the game, if not – he becomes a portrait in the museum (“Portrait number 13”).

Ideation Wheel:

·   Freedom and Human Rights: The people from the portraits are trapped in the museum, their fate is not in their hands, they are not safe.

·   Puzzle/Adventure: The player solves a mystery by analyzing clues. The core gameplay is about logic, deduction and exploration rather than fast reflexes or action.

·   Cultural stories

·   Redefining values for generations.

Cultural Heritage:

Cultural heritage can be integrated by using portraits that represent different figures (historical, cultural or simple people), allowing players to engage with their stories in a reimagined way. The game can reflect how traditions and values evolve over time, as players uncover clues and piece together the mystery. By incorporating elements of different cultures, art styles, and historical periods, the game can offer a dynamic experience that explores cultural change, reinterprets heritage, and invites players to reflect on the impact of the past on the present.

 EU Values:

Human Dignity – The game Portrait Number 13 highlights the struggle of the trapped portraits, symbolizing the importance of personal freedom and the right to safety, reflecting the EU’s commitment to protecting human dignity.

EqualityUnravelling Heritage ensures that all players have an equal opportunity to explore and discover cultural elements without competition, reinforcing the EU’s principle of fairness and inclusion.

FreedomThe Lost Strokes allows players to freely navigate the museum and interact with art, emphasizing the EU’s value of artistic and cultural freedom as a means of self-expression.
